The discussion around animal sacrifices resuming in the End Times centers on two distinct events described in prophecy:
Two Altars, Two Eras
Overlooking Jerusalem at dawn, Yonatan asked his mentor, Binyamin, why Scripture prophesies future animal offerings if Messiah's redemption is already accomplished.

Binyamin clarified that the prophetic timeline distinguishes between two separate sanctuaries with entirely different purposes: the Tribulation altar and the Millennial sanctuary.
I. The Tribulation Altar: The Pre-Reckoning Service
  • The Prophetic Prerequisite: Daniel speaks repeatedly of the daily sacrifice (tamid) being removed and replaced by the "abomination of desolation" (Daniel 9:27, 11:31, 12:11), a prophecy affirmed by Yeshua in Matthew 24:15. For an offering to be halted and desecrated, the altar service must first resume.
  • Modern Preparations: Organizations like the Temple Institute have prepared the sacred vessels, trained priestly lineages, and secured red heifers so the daily offerings can be reinstated as soon as the Temple Mount opens.
  • Destined Interruption: This re-established service will be short-lived, abruptly terminated mid-covenant by the lawless ruler.
II. Ezekiel’s Temple: The Millennial Sanctuary
  • The Messianic Reign: Ezekiel 40–48 outlines a vast, glorious sanctuary established after Yeshua returns to rule from Jerusalem over the nations.
  • Memorial, Not Atoning: Hebrews makes clear that animal blood cannot permanently purge sin. While ancient Levitical sacrifices looked forward in anticipation of Messiah’s cross, the Millennial offerings look backward.
  • A Living Object Lesson: For mortal populations living during the thousand years of peace, these offerings serve as a tangible memorial. They visibly illustrate the holiness of God, the gravity of sin, and the absolute finality of Yeshua’s once-for-all sacrifice.
The Divine Symmetry
  1. The Tribulation Altar: A temporary, physical resumption of the daily sacrifice in an era of unrest, destined to be cut off by the abomination of desolation.
  2. The Millennial Sanctuary: An enduring, glorious center of worship under Messiah's reign, where memorial offerings declare God's holiness and righteousness across the earth.
